FMX 210- Sam VanBuren

My name is Sam VanBuren I am currently a sophomore who transferred in this semester from Virginia Tech. I decided on this university because it had the major I am most interested in. Also, I have family not too far from Tampa which is awesome to have considering I am from Syracuse, New York. The weather is a bonus too because I can't stand the cold.

I am an advertising and public relations major, with advertising as my creative track. I chose this specific major here at The University of Tampa because it best suits everything I am looking for. I am excited to work with photoshop, adobe, and indesign this semester as well as learn how to create an animation. Most of the digital tools that were discussed in class will be new for me, besides garageband, which I worked with all the way back in middle school.

This class has finally come to an end. I have dedicated several hours of time to work on these assignments throughout the semester, and some of them like the coding was very confusing and took a lot of time. The caligram is one of my favorite projects I did and I probably spent over 10 hours on it. I have learned a lot from this class and am glad to have learned how to use several of these applications and learn different techniques.

Multiplicity

Here is myself stretching and preparing for a run. I started in a squat position in the front of the image as my starting point. Then I kept the camera in the same spot and just moved myself in the background. Using photoshop and erasing the background I was able to make it look like this photo was taken in one shot. I thought this was really interesting to do and I had fun with taking the different pictures.
